School of Anthropology and Sociology of Religion (ASR)
The School of Anthropology and Sociology of Religion (School of ASR) is an interspiritual, interdisciplinary research institute of New Earth Theological University uniquely dedicated to the study of interspirituality in the global community through an application of the disciplines of anthropology and sociology, and related areas of foci.
The School of ASR at NETU provides the student with excellent cutting-edge opportunities for independent and cooperative interspiritual research projects in the fields of anthropology and sociology of religion (ASR).
Goals of the School of Anthropology and Sociology of Religion (ASR) include:
- Production, publication and dissemination of anthropological and sociological resources and curricula which have an interspiritual profile.
- Outreach to research possibilities within local communities while expressly recognizing the interconnectedness of local, national and global concerns.
- Intellectual exchange rooted in conscious critical analysis.
- Constructive dialogue and research undertaken in an interspiritual climate of respect.
- Serve as a catalyst for research and new-paradigm education that will contribute to the development of broad and meaningful interspiritual solutions to global concerns, while understanding and honoring the social and cultural aspects of global communities.
